Kroon is a French brand that sells Rooibos (also known as red tea) grown in South Africa in the Northern Cape region. Rooibos, cultivated and appreciated by local populations for hundreds of years, is now known all over the world, recognized for its benefits and now travels miles to end up in your cups!

 

We currently market our products in South Africa as well as in neighbouring countries such as Botswana, Namibia and Swaziland through Crown Rooibos.

Kroon is the French version of this South African family business, as Jeffrey Perkins, a shareholder in the company, saw the opportunity to bring this quality South African product to France. Kroon has five directors and shareholders who are experienced in small business and are united in their goal to satisfy the needs of customers.

We are committed to the ethical and sustainable cultivation of this unique beverage and to bringing the best of Rooibos to national and international markets.

Kroon Rooibos is pure natural Rooibos, grown, processed and packaged in the high altitude PDO zone of South Africa. Judges at the Prix Epicures exhibition described Kroon Rooibos as “Gold in a cup”. This is no surprise as the cuts of Rooibos used are of the purest and highest quality available. In the high altitude agricultural zone, Rooibos grows more slowly with a resulting higher flavor intensity as well as a richer color in the cup. Kroon Rooibos in France is classified AB Organic. Rooibos is free from harmful pesticides and farming is done with the upliftment of the local community as the priority area. Kroon Rooibos is the best natural, caffeine-free hot or cold drink available .
